Research

Dr. Wheeler West’s scholarly efforts focus on supporting the learning, achievement, and professional development of engineering students with a range of backgrounds and experience.

Current research projects include:

  • Promoting success of transfer students in engineering degree programs (NSF S-STEM Award #1833985).
  • Persistence to STEM degrees for students starting in pre-calculus math courses.
  • Faculty perspectives on engaging undergraduates in research.
